Nicolette Johnson got everyone excited over the pictures of her Australian apartment on Reddit's Interior Design forum. Everyone has been asking her questions about how she managed to pull off such an amazing look. Questions like how she was able to make her space look clutter-free were also brought up.
It comes as no surprise that Reddit users reacted the way they did, because Johnson's apartment was nothing short of impressive details and fine design. Her humble abode was filled and decorated with lots of framed pictures arranged perfectly on the walls. She also used a generous amount of wooden items all over the place, giving it a relaxing, subtle and homey vibe.
Johnson answered most of the questions by saying that she bought affordable furniture and decors that she could find from all of her sources. Some of the items were from eBay and IKEA. Most of them were refurbished or repurposed to have a new look. There were hanging wooden shelves in some places, offering a more compact and sophisticated look for the rooms. Potted plants were also thrown-in to balance off the cold look of the wooden ensembles found all around the apartment.
She didn't use curtains and other expensive decors. Instead, she added in the Tribal masks, unique art, framed prints and textiles to achieve a more unique and edgier look on her otherwise plain white walls.
Apart from sharing her sources of furnitures, she also revealed that before downsizing her apartment, she already got rid of all of her junk, which is why and how she got to have more space for her home improvement project.
When everyone heard that Johnson put together a group of cheap items together to achieve this fabulously neat look, everyone automatically felt more awed by her expert craftsmanship. Afterall, it is no secret that the pictures looked like they were taken from a high-end apartment designed by a pricey designer.
