New York is in the midst of a hotel construction boom and already has the best supply in the country.
New York City is home to the most top-ranked hotels in the country, and it also has two of the top pet-friendly places to stay in, reported The Real Deal.
On top of the list of best hotels in NYC, is the 210-room Park Hyatt New York in the One57 building. The rooms are "outfitted with natural stone floors, minibars and Nespresso coffeemakers, as well as dual-sink bathrooms with separate soaking tubs and rainfall showers," shared the New York Daily News in a report.
Two of the top pet-friendly hotels in the city are The Greenwich, which ranks third in New York overall, and The Mark, which ranked 16th on the New York list.
Travel editor for U.S. News, Erin Shields, said: "The hotels on our list are adored by both travelers and expert reviewers for their high-quality amenities, comfortable rooms and exceptional services."
According to the NY Daily News, the U.S. News & World Report released its sixth annual top hotel ranking Wednesday, which included 2,593 luxury hotels across the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
While cities like Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami were packed with some of the best places to stay in, it was New York City that led the pack of cities with the highest concentration of top hotels in the U.S.
The Lodge at Sea Island in Georgia, is considered a top-ranked hotel in the U.S., which is described as "Southern luxury at its finest." The resort is located on the southern tip of Sea Island, about 85 miles south of Savannah.
The No. 1 best hotel in the Caribbean is the Ritz-Carlton in the Grand Cayman Islands. Taking the top spot in the Best Hotels in Mexico is the Rosewood Mayakoba, while the Ritz-Carlton in Montreal is the No. 1 Best Hotel in Canada, now for a third year in a row.
