Indicent Proposal by a Real Estate Agent and How One Should Properly Act

As a real estate agent, you are somehow a person of authority on real estate industry. Being a professional agent means your acts should radiate professionalism in whatever manner it is being interpreted. And as a licensed agent, you should not use your authority either implicitly or explicitly in any malicious activity like a particular agent who is being disciplined for his inappropriate action. In the following report of NZ Herald, it shed some light on the alleged issue:

Real estate agent allegedly hands over sex offer with business card

An Auckland real estate agent accused of propositioning a woman in a McDonald's car park for "casual sex" has failed in his bid to throw out industry disciplinary action.

It is alleged Mr Singh approached a woman he had not met before in the car park of Manurewa McDonald's in March 2013. He struck up a conversation with the woman, whose 9 and 12-year-old daughters were present, handing over his Harcourts business card and telling her to contact him if she was up for "casual sex, no strings attached". Viewing it from a different angle, such act is indeed alarming and scandalous in manner. Regardless whether the accusations are true or not, but from an objective point of view, the act should never be perpetuated by any real estate agent, or even by any person regardless of work and status in the community.

Aside from being a problem solver and self-motivated entrepreneur, a real estate agent should always uphold the values of honesty and integrity. It is an essential character to have to be successful in this kind of industry. Unlike motivations and technical skill sets, personality separate an agent from one another. Whatever you express in the form of action, words, and though, will undoubtedly reflect the entirety of your being. Thus, you should keep guard of your words, thoughts and actions at all times.
