De-Cluttering Your Home Can Organize Your Life

Who would have thought that keeping your home organized does not only make it look neat, but it can save you money as well? Having a disorganized home is often being linked to a disorganized life, but does it really apply?

During an interview with House Logic, Lisa Gessert, president of the Organizing.Buzz, told the website that organizing your home is more than just keeping you house clean as it can save you a lot of money as well.

"Do you think organizing is just for appearances? Organizing your home is financially beneficial. This process saves people tons of money."

Keeping your home clutter free makes it easier for you to find items that you might end up buying just because you can't find as it is stuck in the midst of clutter. Having an organized home can keep you in track in terms of paying the bills and meeting the deadlines.

An organized home office gives you an effective work environment making it easier for you to think and be productive. Clutter can affect the mind in various ways, as it sometimes disrupts your concentration.

As per the Simple Dollar website, "You write a lot about how there's a deep connection between less clutter and financial success. I don't get it at all. I think the opposite is true because when you clear out a bunch of stuff you would just have the space for a lot more."

The Simple Dollar website also highlighted numerous points on how clutter can affect your daily activities such as:

Time

Having a messy room or office space can potentially waste your time, most especially when it comes to looking for certain items. It would be impossible to find your paper works in a clutter filled table, which means that you would have to spend extra time to locate the things that you'd need.

Space

It is important to de-clutter your home and your work area at least three to four times a week as it helps you save space. Leaving a pile of unused papers or junk files can consume your office desk. Same as with your closet, hoarding unwanted items eats up a lot of space which can still be used for other items.
