After letting go of his job for more than three years, fashion designer Stefano Pilati is also ready to let go of his stylish pad and is now selling it for $6.1 million.
According to Curbed, the place was renovated by known architect Bruno Carona a few years back, and after that the place was featured in Architectural Digest in March 2013.
The 3,440-square-foot place has a total of three bedrooms, and it is filled with gorgeous designs of vintage and modern decorations. In Architectural Digest's feature, the living room is filled with artworks by renowned artists like Henry Moore, Rosemarie Trockel, and Sonia Delaunay. It was also decorated with an African low table center and a Brazilian stool which were both purchased in California. The living room is also decorated with African masks that are displayed on the far wall of the room.
The television room is decorated with family portraits, and there also designer furniture like wall-mounted lamps and cocktail tables. More artworks can be seen inside the room, one of which is a Robert Doisneau photograph of Pablo Picasso.
The dining room is designed with a woodland mural which is painted by Mathias Kiss and Olivier Piel of Atelier Attilalou. The table is set with vintage pieces and glassware, and it also features a floor lamp and velvet-clad arm chairs. The kitchen is covered with leather tiles.
There is a staircase that leads from the master bedroom down to the dressing area and bathroom. The paneling is covered in velvet. The master bath is lined with honey-colo stones, and a narwhal tusk is displayed on the shelf above the sinks. Pilati himself designed the carved stone seashell scones in the vaulted shower.
Pilati was the head designer of the fashion house Yves Saint Laurent from 2004 to 2012, and after that he became the head of Ermenegildo Zegna. He was also the head of Zegna's Agnona women's wear in July 2015.
