Pet lovers and owners may want to settle in Los Angeles by this time. According to Realtor, there was already a "motion" although not legally declared that lets pet owners care for their animals in their residence.
In part with this, Laist reported that the said movement was aimed to decrease the number of animals going to the shelter and securing agreements with the landlords in permitting LA residents to adopt animals.
The said act was started due to the "No Kill" outcry of animal advocates. "No Kill" blast of animal supporters was opened up due to the majority of LA landlords not opening their apartments and rentals for renters with pets which leads to the increase of animals going to the shelter. These animals passed on to shelters are said to be "killed out" just to eliminate the increasing number.
"We want to see if we can get to the point where our shelter system is no-kill," Paul Koretz said to KPCC based on the article.
While the motion is still going on the works, other cities are still strict regarding this movement and many are still restricting pet animals on parks and public places.
According to Petfriendlytravel, there are some parks in Alabama, Alaska, Florida, and Colorado that do allow dogs in some public areas but there are grounds. These grounds detail that a leash must always be provided or that the animal must be caged or even crated.
As an example, in Alabama, animals are totally void of the right to enter the beach premises of any state park although Fort Payne: DeSoto State Park do allow dogs in the camping grounds but provided there is a leash. This certain ground also applies to almost all states but some are even more stricter in their clause.
Regardless, the act that was started in LA is one of the first in most cities although the conclusion is not yet final.
