Bathtubs are truly an essential part of any bathroom. Not only are they convenient for use when bathing and relaxing, bathtubs can also add a different look to your bathroom. Here's a look at an innovative bathtub that you can buy or have installed in your personal sanctuary today.
German designer Carina Deuschl recently came up with a unique idea for bathtubs. Instead of the usual ones that are permanently placed in the bathroom, the designer came up with a collapsible variant. Also known as The XTEND, the product is made out of super light carbon fiber which makes it easy and safe for use. When it's not needed, The XTEND can be folded and collapsed into a flat structure. This means that it can be stored in any place in the bathroom without taking up so much space.
According to the Daily Mail, the product is also safe for plugging in water and hose. This means that the water stays inside for very long hours unless the pipe is emptied. As of late though, the designer hasn't made any announcement on when the product will be available across the globe.
However, a video of the tub has already been released online. The more than two-minute video opens with the bathtub collapsed before it is assembled.
Lastly, there's also no need to worry about the bathtub being too heavy because it's not. In fact, it can be carried around to other bathrooms if you have more than one at home. Also, if friends and family would like to borrow your portable tub, there's really no problem to do so because it can be easily transported.
At present, it is still unclear how much the product costs, but it is expected to be somewhere in between majority of people's budgets.
