Certain house old items needs to be cleaned frequently, while some don't require daily maintenance. Though some of your household items don't look dirty, or don't even smell, you would still need to have then cleaned as they'd accumulate germs and bacteria that could build up and potentially affect your overall health.
Listed below are a few household items that need to be washed daily:
Sink
Despite the fact that it is being used with washing dished and other utensils, the sink is one of the dirtiest areas at home, most especially the one on the kitchen. Aside from the regular soap and sponge regime, kitchen sinks needs to be sanitized as it is often in contact with raw food.
In sanitizing your kitchen sinks, have them washed with soap and water, then plug in the drain. Fill the sink with hot water mixed with bleach and let it soakfor a few minutes before having it drained. Make sure to have It thoroughly rinsed and have it air dried.
Hand Towels
It may look and even smell clean, hand towels should be changed daily. It may seem clean, but fact is it's one of the dirtiest household items as per one UDSA study. All hand towels, may it be on the kitchen or the bathroom needs to be changed.
As per Carolyn Forte, the director of the Cleaning Lab at the Good Housekeeping Institute, "Hand towels get dirtier faster since you use them more than once per day. They should be changed every couple days, or even every day, if you have a large family."
Coffee Maker
Having your coffee maker cleaned is a must! Leaving your coffee maker moist without having it washed may attract molds to build up, as per Forte, "It's best to wash the removable parts of your coffee maker after every use to remove coffee, grinds, and oil, you can hand wash at the sink with warm and soapy water, but usually the pieces are dishwasher-safe. And don't forget to wipe down the outside and the warming plate where spills can burn on."
