Nike is set to release the KD 7 Christmas edition, aptly called "Egg Nog", on Dec. 26, which is inspired by Oklahoma City Thunder player Kevin Durant, CBS Sports reported.
The shoe giant is gearing up to unveil their latest series of holiday edition footwear, one of which is the KD7 Christmas edition, which will hit stores on Dec. 26 at a price tag of $170.
The footwear shows off an ivory-colored upper with emerald green and bright crimson accents throughout for a festive feel. The Hyperposite portion of the heel has a splattered texture and a glossy finish. The midsole has specks of metallic gold, while the outsole has a milky ivory color to give it an "Egg Nog" feel.
Close-up pictures of the footwear can be seen on Nice Kicks, and the footwear can be availed early on at eBay, where seller nomadsports is willing to sell 4 pairs of the KD7 in limited sizes.
There has been no news as of yet on when it will be officially available on Nike retail stores.
The KD7 Christmas "Egg Nog" is just one among the series of colorways the seventh installment of Durant's footwear has, with the first colorway released last June 26, according to Sneaker Bar Detroit. Other colorways include "The Independence Day," "35,000 Degrees," "Calm Before the Storm," "Good Apples," "On the Road" and more.
Other basketball player-inspired footwear that will also hit stores this December are the LeBron 12 Christmas inspired by Cleveland Cavaliers player LeBron James; and the Kobe 6 Elite Christmas inspired by Los Angeles Lakers player Kobe Bryant, according to Sneaker Files.
There are pictures of the LeBron 12 Christmas sneaker available on Sole Collector, where interested buyers can get a sneak peek of the teal-colored upper, the snowflakes printed on the tongue and the graphic printed Hyperosite.
Pictures of the Kobe 9 Elite Christmas on the other hand, are available on Sneaker News. The shoe features Flyknit uppers and a white, green and red color scheme that adorns the footwear.
While pictures and details of the footwear have been released online, there has been no confirmation from Nike on their official release dates, prices or where to avail them.
Aside from the trio of Christmas footwear from Nike, footwear lovers can also look forward to the Air Trainer 2 Premium, the Internationalist Mid Escape, the Air Foamposite Pro, the Kobe 9 High KRM EXT, the LeBron 12 Trillion Dollar Man and more, according to Sneaker Bar Detroit.
