With the advent of technology, everything seems to work in just one click. Yet, getting a mortgage by just clicking on your phone's button might give you wonders over the uncertainty of such one-tap mortgage transaction. Getting started with your mortgage process in just one tap may seem fun to you, but definitely, not to other people who are pissed of such technical idea.
Well, that's what people recently talk about - the Super Bowl ad featuring a one-tap mortgage app.
The ad shows how getting into the real estate transactions becomes easier with technology. However, despite this efficient way of transacting, a news report from Bustle reveals that people are not happy about such trend.
Rocket Mortgage, an online mortgage that only takes you a few minutes to complete your mortgage transaction, is a mobile app designed by Quicken Loans in hopes of helping potential clients and customers transact in an easier, comfortable way, anytime, anywhere. Dan Gilbert, founder of Quicken Loans, believes that Rocket Mortgage is the turning point in financing a home, assisting anyone to get the mortgage they want without having to wait for hours in the bank queue.
On the other hand, according to reports, financial experts called the attention of the advertisers and Quicken Loan, implying their strong disliking of the app. Even the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau cautioned people against the use of such app as it will only push people to make hasty decisions about something big like buying a home.
Stating that big decisions can now be in the hands of a child, the ad has really stirred the minds of the people worldwide, making real estate appear like a joke or a simple mobile game.
Tech Crunch mentions that one of the reasons people may not be amenable to Rocket Mortgage is because of security reasons. Despite Quicken Loans system ensuring that the client's data are safe, many people still feel that Rocket Mortgage cannot guarantee complete confidentiality as to the delicate information, even client's personal data.
