Since there are so many real estate firms, Brittany Voigt and her husband Robert made sure that their firm in East Tennessee will have a point of difference in order to get more clients, WBIR.com reported.
With that, the couple decided to use a high tech way to attract sellers and buyers by using unmanned aerial vehicles which are known as UAVs, or drones. These are used to create compelling visual presentations of the properties that Voigt Group offers for sale.
"We'd been talking about it for several years, in May last year we finally bit the bullet. We really needed to find two or three things right off of the bat that someone else doesn't have. That was the one thing that was going to set us apart," Brittany said according to Knoxville News Sentinel.
Most of today's buyers would love to get an interactive online experience of a house, and this is achieved by the Voigts by using the drone in creating videos which seemingly makes them experience the home.
"These cameras allow us to capture images not often seen in our market. Larger markets like Los Angeles and New York see brokers using this technology pretty often. We wanted to offer it here," said Robert Voigt, who operates the DJI Phantom 3 Professional Drone to take photos.
The drones produce aerial photographs that offer a unique perspective of the properties. They would capture photos of the front yard, the neighborhood and it allows the client to see where he is at and what is around him. It is like having a virtual stroll of the home.
Using the "in-home video tours" provides a much better experience to prospect buyers than the mere usage of photo slideshows. This way, they are able to let the buyers imagine that they are living there. It also allows the buyer to get a better understanding of the home's architecture and layout.
