New Virtual Home Design Tool Acquires $8 Million Series-A Funding

Modsy, a personal home design solution, reported the closing of $8M in Series A funding drove by Norwest Venture Partners with support from existing investors and prominent characters including Eoin Harrington (SVP, Restoration Hardware), Joanne Wilson (Gotham Gal Ventures) and Pascal Levensohn (Dolby Ventures).

"Modsy's mission is to vastly improve the way that consumers currently design and shop for the home," said Shanna Tellerman, CEO and founder of Modsy.

"This financing will help us accelerate the company's trajectory in several key ways. We will continue to recruit the most talented graphics engineers, 3D artists and designers from across the industry, we will ramp up our marketing efforts, and continue to scale as we head towards our public launch."

Different to other home design platforms that offer confounded format tools, underdeveloped interfaces or crowd-sourced services, Modsy's straightforward and simple to use platform permits users to experience suggested design ideas based on their preferences, all set inside of the setting of their own homes.
