Perrie Edwards has finally made a big step to cut her ties with ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik after their split by moving out of their £5m ($7.2m) home in North London, International Business Times reported.
Said home was bought by the "Little Mix" singer with the former One Direction singer as their love nest but since the Malik ended their high-profile engagement last year, Edwards decided to acquire her own four-bedroom bungalow in the English county of Surrey for £1 million.
"Her new place is really pretty and she's done it up so the design is all her and she loves it. Her mum Debbie will stay loads and she has a lot of pets to keep her company but she's not lonely – she's enjoying her new independent life," an insider said according to the Sun.
Edwards live in the modest pad that has a stunning garden which overlooks a conservation area.
To recall, Edwards and Malik started dating back in December 2011 after the two met on the sets of "The X Factor." The star couple got engaged in August 2013 and were said to be planning on getting married at Disneyland Paris in June. But then, Malik called off his engagement with Edwards in August 2015 which then ended their happily-ever-after.
As for Edwards, who has a net worth of $2 million, she is moving on and is doing great after the split saying, "I'm having an absolute blast. We have a bit of banter with guys in nightclubs... I love it. I love going out. I'm feeling brilliant and I'm in a good place – and I've got new hair."
She is rumored to be dating Jed Elliot and a very handsome mystery man with long hair that she recently posted on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Malik is dating model Gigi Hadid and he even moved to New York to get closer to Hadid.
"I need a challenge. Also, I like girls that are a bit chunky in certain areas — the nice areas. I like a fuller woman. I enjoy an intellectual conversation as well, where someone can construct a sentence beyond what hair and makeup they're wearing, and talk about something political or about the world. I like an opinion," Malik said about what he is looking for in a relationship, according to Billboard.
