5 DIY Valentine's Day Decor Projects for Every Purpose

Valentines is right around the corner, and even if the origin of this celebration is not set in stone, it is still widely celebrated all around the globe. A doctor of philosophy and an associate professor of history at Ball State University, says that there are a lot of different origin theories for the Valentines.

She further shared that there is a huge amount of people who believe that it started out as an ancient fertility ritual back in Rome. She said that each February, a sacrifice of a goat to the gods is done and the removal of its skin is done by a priestess. The skin of the pig was used as a whip to free the women from infertility. Others on the other hand, believe that it was in honor of St. Valentine.

No matter how blurry why this celebration even came about, this Valentine's day, make sure you have your own little way of showing your crafty side to celebrate this special occasion. You don't need to worry about the budget or the extra time you need to commit to these because they're simple and easy to make.
