CityView and Windflower Properties formed a partnership for the development of a new transit-oriented apartment community adjacent to the Union City Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station.

According to the press release of CityView in Business Wire, the new multi-family housing project is located in 34588 11th Street, and will offer 243 residential units. The new apartment community will also feature 2,400 square feet of retail space. Residents of the apartment community can also enjoy amenities such as a yoga room, a fitness studio, an outdoor barbeque area, and a pool.

Ideally located near major shopping centers and adjacent to the Union City BART station, residents of the apartment community can enjoy easy access to transportation to jobs both in San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
"Union City is an ideal market for us given its proximity to jobs, transportation and shopping," said Sean Burton, chief executive officer of CityView. "In the last 15 years, just one other residential housing project has been built in the area, so we expect to see strong demand for these units once construction is completed."
The project will have its ground breaking in the first quarter of 2016 and is expected to finish by the second quarter of 2017. David Baker Architects is in-charge of the design for the Union City multi-family housing project.
