"The Voice" finally unveiled its Top 3 finalists during Tuesday night's episode, and the day after they also announced which one among the eliminated contestants will be coming back as the show's first-ever wildcard, Billboard reported.
The singing show is getting closer to awarding its seventh season winner and it fans and viewers are anticipating which one it will be among the final three singers standing: Matt McAndrew and Chris Jamison from Team Adam Levine or Craig Wayne Boyd from Team Blake Shelton.
The trio beat out Taylor John Williams from Team Gwen Stefani and Damien Lawson from Team Levine on Tuesday night's episode.
However, "The Voice" host Carson Daly announced that one more singer from the previously eliminated contestants will have the chance to make it to the finals as the fourth singer and the first ever wildcard on the show. The voting lasted until 3 a.m. on Wednesday morning and the lucky fan-voted comeback singer was announced on the "Today" show.
Thanks to the fan votes, Levine's Lawson was invited back to the stage after performing Bruno Mars' "Grenade."
Lawson beat out previous contestants such as Coach Pharell's Sugar Joans, who sang "Back to Black;" Coach Stefani's Anita Antoinette, who sang "Waiting on the World to Change;" Coach Shelton's Jessie Pitts, who sang "Zombie;" and more.
The last two coaches competing for this season's win, Shelton and Levine, have both won several times before, with Shelton winning three seasons and Levine winning twice. However, reports have it that Levine and McAndrew are the odds on favorite to win, according to International Business Times.
McAndrew's rendition of "Make It Rain," which was originally by Ed Sheeran, earned rave reviews during the semi-finals, with Shelton calling it a "Grammy-worthy performance" and Stefani claiming she got "chills."
"I can't throw anything at this guy that he can't absolutely destroy," Stefani said.
A poll by Gold Derby also backs up Levine and McAndrew's anticipated win. According to their poll results, the odds are in McAndrew's favor at 14/5. In comparison, Shelton's Boyd is at 4/1 and Levine's other finalist Williams is at third place with 5/1. Retuning singer Lawson was last ranked fourth at 11/2.
It remains to be seen if McAndrew will nab a third season win for Levin, as viewers and fans await the upcoming Live Finals of "The Voice".
"The Voice" airs on NBC on Mondays at 8/7c and on Tuesdays at 9/8c.
