New York City Listings: Upper East Side Townhouse Listed for $22M, Also Available for Rent for $100K Per Month

A townhouse at the Upper East Side is listed for $22 million, but while it still doesn't have a new owner, the place is also open for renters for $100,000 per month.

According to New York Curbed, the original townhouse was placed on the market in 2014, and it has a medical office located on its ground floor. It was bought for $8.8 million by an anonymous corporation which made necessary renovations and upgrades on the place before listing it on the market for $22.5 million.

Listing details of the property reveal that the townhouse has a total of five bedrooms and six bathrooms, and it is located at 46 East 82nd Street. The garden level has a large foyer with French limestone flooring which includes a mud room and a coat closet. It also has a large window where a lot of natural light can come in. The double doors lead to the main hall, and from there, the parlor room can be accessed through the elevator. The parlor room has its own marble powder room.

The dining room is finished with lime oak floors, and the kitchen beautifully matches the informal dining area with its marble countertops and backsplash. It is also equipped with high-end modern appliances and has a built-in banquet which is polished with nickel fixtures and gives tons of storage space.

Both the formal dining room and the living room have fireplaces. There's another marble powder room and also a butler's pantry with bespoke cabinetry. The master suite features a large walk-in closet and a master bath which is complete with double vanity and walk-in steam shower. There are two large bedrooms located on the fourth floor, each with their own walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms. Two more bedrooms are located on the fifth floor, also with walk-in closet and en-suite marble bathrooms.

The 7,000-square-foot townhouse was rebuilt from the ground up, and it also features modern amenities and systems.
