Celebrity Homes: Chef Ludo Lefebvre Reveals His Kitchen Style

Celebrity chef Ludo Lefebvre recently showcased his prominent kitchen style and design. In the feature by Los Angeles Curbed, designer Ginny Capo remodeled the kitchen to showcase Lefebvre's style and love for food.

It was reported that the remodeling process started in May 2015, and the kitchen was fully finished by October. Capo revealed that Lefebvre wanted the kitchen to have a French influence with modern touches. Capo made sure that although the kitchen had its own style and design sensibility, it still complemented the design of the whole home.

Lefebvre and his wife, along with their two children, usually eat breakfast in the kitchen every morning. It is also a place where the kids sit around for an afternoon snack or where they do their homework. It is also Lefebvre's ideal place to entertain guests or work on his menus.

The overall theme of the kitchen is rustic although it has an overall modern feel. The cabinets were given a slick minimalist look with a gentle-weathered gray finish. Everything in the kitchen has neutral earth tones so that the room can highlight the sink and stove.

It was reported that Lefebvre cared most about the look and the design of the sink, so Capo was challenged to come up with a design that combines different things for that area. According to Lefebvre, people love to combine different things in Europe, unlike in America where people choose matching items. The result was a beautiful bright copper sink with a faucet that has a lye finish.

Although Lefebvre revealed that he was a bit uncomfortable with the kitchen being too modern for his taste, he soon understood the balance of sleek and modern in the design.
