Home Design: Laundry Room Transformed into a Small House

A small laundry room was recently transformed into an 88-square-foot house by architect and designer Christi Azevedo.

According to House Beautiful, Azevedo's creation has impressed people from across the globe because she was able to fit everything inside a small space. The house comes with a bathroom, kitchen, living room and a bedroom. To add to this, the house also has a pretty spacious exterior.

"Azevedo came up with the idea when she encountered an old French laundry for sale in San Francisco. Then and there she decided to transform the boiler room into a small guest apartment. And what she did with the limited space she had is nothing short of extraordinary," the publication noted.

Meanwhile, the house boasts of furniture from famous store IKEA. More specifically, the abode has a normal-sized coffee table, a kitchen and even a built-in storage space. According to Today, Azevedo previously rented out the place at $1,600 month, but as of late, the architect and designer is the one living in the small space. What makes it interesting is the fact that she was able to make good use of every single inch and corner of the laundry room.

"The entire place was a wreck, but there were loads of details remaining," she said.

Azevedo also calls the property a "Brick House." Additionally, the property also comes with an upper floor.

If this is the kind of house that you want to live in for the time being, you may check if it is still available for rent at the moment. Remember though that this kind of house may only be ideal for those who are living by themselves. Also, remember to check out other properties that may be rented out at a much smaller amount, but provide you with an even bigger space.
