Home Design: Here's How to Organize Your Makeup and Toiletries at Home

If you are the type of person who loves buying makeup, you should really know how to keep these products organized. Makeups usually come in very small packages, so if you do not know how to keep them well, you will definitely have a hard time finding them when you need them.

As such, one cosmetics and toiletries organizing expert dubbed Dorothy the Organizer shared her tips on how to store all of your makeup and toiletries in the easiest way possible. According to Zillow, it is important to sort all of your makeup and toiletries when you have the time to do so. Over time, your makeups and toiletries might have already piled up, so it's quite difficult to know which ones you can still use.

Sorting out your makeup and toiletries only means that you will now have the chance to segregate the ones you want to keep and the ones you want to throw away.

The publication also noted how long should you keep certain types of makeup. For instance, lipstick, lip liners and lip gloss should only be used for a maximum of two years; mascara should only be used for a maximum of three months; and your foundation or blush can only be used for a maximum of 18 months.

Meanwhile, it is also important to find a container that can keep all of your makeup in one place. After you've selected your container, it's now time to figure out where to keep them. Makeup should be stored at places that have the right temperature; otherwise they could melt.

Now that you know how to organize your makeup, it's now time to do the exact same thing with your toiletries. Organize even the littlest products you can find at home to ensure that your bathroom or dresser will always look tidy as ever.
