Home Design: Top 5 Dining Chairs Perfect for Lounging Indoors & Outdoors

Here's a look at some of the nicest and most useful dining chairs that are perfect for both indoor and outdoor use.

Just recently, Elle Décor combined a range of dining chairs and slipcovers that are made using weatherproof materials. This means that these chairs are perfect for both summer and winter months.

According to designer Samuel Amoia, there are some qualifications to consider before buying dining chairs.

"A chair needs to be heavy enough that it doesn't fly away. Your outdoor furniture doesn't have to match what you have indoors. Consider it your place to play," he said.

One of the most popular types of chair is the one built by Richard Schultz in 1966. Amoia said, "The Scandinavian look of this armchair is sublime. It's sleek and handsome because the chair has a low profile, it will also make any patio or porch feel bigger."

Another type of dining chair is the Sculptura chair by Woodward. "This is a mid-century classic that feels timeless. It's also versatile - it can mix with almost any style of furniture. Because the seat is wide, you'd want to put these at the ends of a rectangular table or around a circular one," the publication noted.

Third, the Madeleine Bistro Armchair by Sika Design is a French-inspired chair that also happens to be made bistro-style. "The rattan frame is light yet it feels sturdy. I like the way they've wrapped the joints at the legs. This would also be great in a kitchen or a breakfast room," the site said.

The Hadley Chair made by Goods is made using perforated metal. "You can see the care that went into the design for the legs, the way the front pair is turned out and the back pair is closer together. I love this one," Amoia said.

Lastly, Bitta dining chair by Rodolfo Dordoni for Kettal is another option you ought to consider.
