Baseball star Albert Pujols just put his Irvine California mansion for sale for for $7.75 million. According to Realtor, the Angels slugger bought the Mediterranean-style house for $5.5 million in 2012.
It was reported that the property was built by renowned California architect John Henderson in 2010. The massive 9,239-square-foot mansion features a basement with wine cellar, a game room, bar and a movie theater. Across the home theater, there are four flat screen televisions which are set up right over the pool table. The royal dining room is also filled with luxury furnishings.
The property has a total of five bedrooms and five full bathrooms with multiple fireplaces and a number of chandeliers in the various parts of the home. The master bedroom which is situated on the ground level is designed and decorated in style and luxury. It also has a huge open kitchen equipped with modern appliances.
The mansion sits on over a half acre of land and on a private cul-de-sac street. Outside, there is a stone slab courtyard, swimming pool and a garden area. There is also a hammock where one can enjoy the relaxing views of the surrounding community.
Pujols started playing baseball when he was still attending Fort Osage High School where he was named an All-State athlete twice. After graduating high school, he was given a baseball scholarship to Maple Woods Community College. He then decided to enter the major league after garnering a record of 22 home runs as a freshman.
As of writing he is now a 10-time All-star and seeks to be one of the names included in the Hall of Fame after he retires. However, the Angels MVP got one of the worst contracts in baseball after he signed a $240 million, 10-year contract with the team before the 2012 season.
