Actress Jessica Biel has a new baby: a restaurant located in West Hollywood that caters to both children and adults. While it's difficult to choose a restaurant where both kids and parents can enjoy, Biel's new business venture offers a solution as it's meant to be the place where adults can tag their children along for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is called Au Fudge; it is co-owned by Biel along with her friends Kimberley Muller, Jonathan Rollo, Joey Gonzalez and Estee Stanley.
Eater scored an exclusive look at Au Fudge and says that the new restaurant is unlike Soho House, contrary to previous assumptions. The online publication states that the restaurant is not an exclusive club, and kids will actually enjoy in it, as half of the establishment features a kids' area.
Based on the pictures on the site, the children's play area features tables with different toys and crafts for kids to enjoy. There are also cushions and bean bags where children can relax. There's also a separate area for younger kids and toddlers which features toys and loads of huge bean bags as well.
To further keep kids occupied while their parents enjoy Au Fudge's sumptuous food and socialize with friends, there's a treehouse at the second floor of the restaurant which features musical instruments, a chalkboard, arcades, photo booth and more.
On the other hand, adults can enjoy at the front marketplace of Au Fudge which serves coffee and pastries as well as grab-and-go items. Organic, healthy food as well as cocktails with a "playful slant" are also available at the restaurant.
Stanley, a fashion stylist and decorator who's a co-founder of the restaurant, told Architectural Digest that Au Fudge is "a community clubhouse for people with kids."
"If you have kids, there's a space where they can go and be creative, do activities, arts and crafts, whatever we're doing that week. It's supervised by professional au pairs. You, as a parent, can go enjoy your life and not be interrupted by your children. If you don't have kids, we have a full bar and we invite everyone to get really drunk," she said, explaining the restaurant's concept.
Daily Mail reports that Au Fudge had a grand opening on March 2 sponsored by Amazon Family. Biel attended the event with her husband Justin Timberlake and her co-founders. The restaurant will open today, on March 4, on Melrose Avenue.
