President Barack Obama is about to reach the end of his term, and this has caused a lot of speculation about where the Obamas would prefer to stay after the term as President ends. Some are positive that they will go to New York, while others are hopeful that the family will choose to go back to Chicago.
The Obama family will not be going far from Pennsylvania after all, as reported by The Washington Post. The soon to be former Commander in Chief is planning to stay within the Washington, to allow his daughter Sasha to complete her high school. They may be looking for properties within the neighborhoods of the upper Northwest D.C.
With that said, some of the most coveted listings in the said area come to mind. Given the President's net worth value of around $2 to $7 million, the cost might not be a factor, after all. The following properties in the D.C. are suitable for the Obamas:
- 2401 Kalorama Road NW, Known as the oldest mansion in D.C., the property has 6 Colonial-inspired bedrooms built in Massachusetts in 1754, but was later moved to the neighborhood of Kalorama in the 1930s. It has a price value of $8.75 million.
- 3120 Woodland Drive NW (Massachusetts Ave. Heights). The Georgian-inspired property has 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, gourmet kitchen and several formal rooms to host elite guests. Built in 1928, it costs $7.75 million.
- 3035 Chain Bridge Road NW (Kent). This 7-bedroom home built in 1940 offers much privacy. Its Italian features, with Battery Kemble Park surrounding it, has lovely grounds to provide, for the family to enjoy some quiet time in the city, for the price of $6.75 million.
- 9001 Congressional Court (Potomac, MD).The 7-bedroom estate can accommodate the Obamas' circle of friends with its guest cottage, including the spa lanai and a batting cage. In fact, the President might like the idea of its indoor basketball court. The estate costs $4.95 million.
