Barack & Michelle Obama Choose to Still Live in Washington DC After the Former's Presidential Term

The President of the United States Barack Obama's term is ending, and he's searching for a new place to stay with his wife and two children. Throughout the past couple of years, Obama has been living in the White House in Washington, DC. However, now that he will no longer be the president of the United States, the former government official still plans on staying in Washington, DC.

According to The Washington Post, the Obamas have decided to stay in the nearby area so the President's youngest daughter Sasha can first finish her high school. Although details about the President's new home haven't been released online, Elle Décor is already speculating that it may be located at Sidwell Friends, a neighborhood that's close to Sasha's school in the upper Northwest DC. The publication also came up with a list of possible neighborhoods for the Obama family primarily, considering the location's safety and cost.

Considering the President's net worth which is estimated between $2 and $7 million, first on the list is Kalorama Road NW. "As the oldest mansion in Washington D.C., this property is certainly for a former President. Built in 1754 in Massachusetts, the 6-bedroom Colonial was then moved to the affluent Kalorama neighborhood in the 1930s. 11 fireplaces means the family is well-equipped to handle DC's next Snowzilla," the publication noted.

Meanwhile, other neighborhoods include the Massachusetts Avenue Heights that is located in Woodland Drive NW, Kent in Chain Bridge Road NW, Spring Valley in Overlood Road NW, McLean VA in Ramshorn Place, Promac, MD on Congressional Court and more.

If you are the Obamas, which of these neighborhoods will you choose to reside in? The decision may not really be that daunting as long as you have the budget for it.
