It's only been a month since the Chinese New Year, so it's not too late to incorporate feng shui 2016 guidelines and principles in your home. Whether you want to attract good luck or achieve harmony in your home, these feng shui 2016 rules can be helpful when designing your bedroom, living room, and other spaces in your house.
According to Mary Dillin-Shurtleff, a feng shui consultant in Salt Lake City, Utah, "Feng shui is the art of placement. Feng shui is simply energy and how well your physical body, mind and spirit interacts and responds to your living or work area," Gephardt Daily reports.
TheSunDaily has provided several feng shui 2016 tips so you can "custom design your luck" in your home. One of the first important steps is removing clutter from your home. According to the site, it is important that you go through your belongings and determine which ones should be kept and which ones should be thrown away. In the process, it's important that you let go of the things with negative emotional attachments or those that symbolize your old thoughts and beliefs so you'll have a clean slate. With such process, you not only get rid of clutter in your home physically but you also get to refresh your mind and soul.
The site further said that it's important to determine the trouble spots in your home that may be causing you anxiety. If you're suffering from sleepless nights, arguments with your husband or wife or financial troubles, something in your home may reportedly have triggered the negative vibes. A change in furniture or décor, relocation of house items or even a renovation can cause undue stress.
Meanwhile, Shurtleff emphasizes the importance of understanding feng shui first and the natural element interaction. "In scientific terms it can be called bioenergetics-the study of energy exchanges between living organisms and their environments," she explained. "If one wishes to make changes in their life, they must also make them within the physical anchor of the home. The home is the subconscious message created from the subconscious mind and conveys that message each day, hour and minute to the conscious mind. If one wishes the message to change, so must the home," she said.
