After R&B singer Chris Brown publicly announced his split with on-off girlfriend Karrueche Tran on stage the 2014 Cali Christmas Concert, reports have been circulating that his ex-girlfriend Rihanna is laughing at the sordid turn of Brown's love life.
The break-up between Brown and Tran has been brewing for sometime already. The two were very active in social media and has taken to Instagram to post cryptic messages about their split prior Brown's announcement.
According to Fashion and Style, Tran has had enough of her boyfriend's flirty ways after she saw an Instagram post by Brown with Kendall Jenner sitting on his lap while cuddling up sister Kylie Jenner and another girl. 26-year-old Tran was furious over the photo and felt "disrespected" by it.
At the Cali Christmas Concert last Friday, Brown made the announcement that he was single before he went on to bash his ex-girlfriend pre-performance, making the split official.
The two began dating in 2011 and broke up the following year. After which, the R&B singer allegedly dated Rihanna again briefly until May 2013. He was then reported to have gotten back with Karrueche.
Even before the photo on Instagram came out, the on-off duo was already on a rocky patch in their relationship for months. Brown accused Tran of cheating on him with Drake. The rapper, who also dated Rihanna, has denied the rumors.
Rihanna has made no statement regarding Brown's split and for good reason. The "Stay" singer is currently busy recording her eighth album, believed to be titled "R8," for release late this year.
However, it was said that she laughed as news of the split and Brown's lashing at Tran came out. "All she can do is just laugh given the history between them. RiRi is in a great place right now, she is happy and focused on her career so all these Chris drama she is just laughing at," as reported in Urban Islandz.
Rihanna and Chris Brown began dating in February 2008 but their relationship came to a brutal end as Brown assaulted her before she was scheduled to perform at the Grammys in 2009. He was charged with felony and was sentenced to a five-year probation and 180 days of community service.
Chris has made no statements on reports that his ex is laughing at him. However, International Business Times wrote that he is working on reconciling with the 26-year old model. It should be noted that no confirmation has been made by Tran if Brown, is indeed, wooing her back.
