If you are thinking of having a porch built at your home, here are some designs you might want to check out.
According to Elle Décor, there are several different types of porches that you can have designed for either your new or old house. Here are some of them.
One of the porches included in their list was from one of the houses in Argentina that was designed by the Buenos Aires-based architectural firm Mazzinghi-Sanchez. The porch is huge and covered and comes with simple but intricate wood furnishings. "A rustic awning of eucalyptus logs shelters the Brazilian lapacho-wood floor," described the site.
Also on the list is one of the houses in Udaipur, India which comes with rows of carved pillars. Designed by architect Gunther Maria Norrenberg, the 17th-century terraced house also boasts a peacock antique chair and several other features.
Likely, "At their weekend retreat, a 17-century Dutch bluestone house in Ulster County, New York, fashion photographer Diego Uchitel and his wife, April, a fashion executive, filled the porch with Adirondack chairs they found at a flea market. The pillows are by Archipelago, and the light fixture is from Circa Lighting," the publication noted.
Another porch that's part of the list is the one that can be found in the island of Ibiza. The sandstone arcade of the owners has mattresses made out of straw and canvas and more.
Now that you have some ideas when it comes to porch designs, which one are you interested in in taking some inspiration from? If you want to be able to have your porch built soon, it's better to immediately contact your architect now. Some of the architects mentioned above can also work with you. However, always remember to still include a tinge of your own style when having your porch built.
