Want to Sell Your Home Fast? These Digital Upgrades Might Do the Trick

Selling a home in the market entails that you put out your house's best features and show the buyer why yours stands out among the others in the listing. If you are looking to sell your home fast, you may not only need to tend to your yard and stage your house, but you may also need to do some digital upgrades.

In this day and age, gone are the days when buyers are simply looking for a house with a white fence, lush greeneries and spacious rooms. Now, with the advancement of technology, buyers are now looking for homes that offer convenience and improved security.

According to Realtor.com, American households that had no landline rose to 47 percent in June 2015. This was up from 30 percent in 2010 and 3.4 percent in 2014. This means that buyers may need to adapt to the changing needs of buyers and promote a wire-free household.

"Whenever I show houses to families, it is the teenage daughter that finds the dead spots throughout the house," said Realtor Stephen Alberts.

If you find that your house has certain dead spots in cellular connection, then buying cell phone signal boosters may help do the trick. These boosters often range from $49 to $500.

If, however, your cell phone signal is not faulty, but your Wi-Fi does not cover some parts of the room, then adding extenders, which are priced at $19 to $49, will help fix the problem.

Aside from these digital upgrades, the publication noted that many buyers are also looking for added safety and security. As previously reported here on Realty Today, there are a number of new and advanced security cameras and smart locks that have been introduced to the market.

Recently released smart locks can now be controlled remotely through an app while other doorbells offer added protection by taking a photo every time the button is pressed.
