ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" star Paige Hemmis has listed her Lancaster California home for $330,000. The lead designer for the show revealed to Realtor that she bought the property in 2009 for her 94-year-old grandmother who moved from Florida. She said that she picked the home because it was close to her aunt and cousin.
After Hemmis' aunt passed, her grandmother decided to move to Los Angeles, and that is the reason why they are selling the home.
In 2014, they were forced to remodel the home due to a washing machine hose leak, but Hemmis said that during the remodeling of the three-bedroom house, she had to sit on the sidelines. She said that the insurance company said that she wasn't personally allowed to do anything with the remodeling. Although she felt bad about it, that did not stop her from picking the molding, flooring, kitchen granite, paint colors and doors for the home.
Listing details reveal that the 2,022-square-foot home now has a completely remodeled kitchen with new wooden floors and paint. It also has new granite countertops and new carpet.
Located in a wonderful neighborhood, the single-story home includes a family room with a fireplace, a living room and a formal dining area. The master bedroom is spacious and features vaulted ceilings and a large walk-in closet. The master bathroom is designed with a shower enclosure and a separate tub and toilet.
Aside from her show, Hemmis is also busy as the founder of the women's construction wear company, Tuff Chix. She also appears on Hallmark Channel's "Home & Family." She admitted that she does not have enough time for the sale of the property, and she is asking the help of her friends to supervise it.
