The current owner of this Upper West Side mansion has listed it for $18.95 million. According to New York Curbed, the property was formerly owned by Jane Wenner who is the co-founder of Rolling Stone. She is also the ex-wife of co-founder/publisher Jann Wenner.
Jane listed the property in June 2015 before she was able to find the current owner who paid for it for $17.95 million. The Wenners bought the property in 1987 for only $4.2 million from fashion designer Perry Ellis. They later hired American designer and sculptor Ward Bennet to design the home to make it more modern.
According to the site, the current owner added some upgrades to the property; thus, the price increase. It was said that they added new paint on the walls, refinished the floors and upgraded the kitchen. The mansion has a total of five floors, and there are 13 rooms in total.
