If you're looking for a luxury home with utmost privacy, the most expensive property in the Michigan real estate market may be the one for you. Priced at $40 million, the house combines breathtaking views, lavish amenities and quiet surroundings that will surely provide you a relaxing experience like no other.
Architectural Digest reports that the Michigan home is the priciest property so far in the state. It offers 1,800 feet of private beach and features nautical elements.
The online publication states that the house dates back to 1989 and is situated in front of a lake. Measuring 314 acres, the luxury home has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and two half baths. Based on the picture on the site, the property seems to be secluded in a grassy area, with the lake in front of the main home.
Since the house is made to resemble a ship, there's a central staircase and ship-inspired railings inside. Another area of the house features curved floor-to-ceiling windows, offering spectacular views. There's also a curved terrace that looks out to the water, giving you the illusion of being on the top deck of a ship. An entertainment area can also be found inside the property featuring a huge TV on the wall, pool table and a long set of cushions secured against the wall.
Other features of the luxury property are the sunken living room with a fireplace, a master bedroom with a fireplace and ocean and lake views and a three-bedroom guesthouse. It can be accessed through a walkway or an underground tunnel.
Last year, Business Insider reported about the most expensive home in Michigan at the time, which was also priced at $40 million. The property is called Granot Loma which reportedly "may be the largest log-cabin lodge in America" and a hunter's paradise.
