House Beautiful recently spoke with Meg Braff to gather information on how she was able to transform her client's house to look both classic and modern at the same time.
According to Braff, her client was a young couple who have been blessed with two adorable boys. They gravitated towards having traditional interiors, but this does not mean that they are not open to experiment on other types of designs that may be fitting for their house.
Braff decided to make use of the color green for her client's windows. She explained, "Window-trim is an often overlooked opportunity to make a statement. The herbal hue connects with the color palettes in the rooms that flank the den, so there's that continuity which is so important in an interior. It's also a great shade for transitioning from inside to outside."
Meanwhile, almost all of the rooms in the house boast of countless of patterns that are actually very pleasing to the eyes. According to Braff, the colors she used and the patterns found in the rooms were designed to give the homeowners exactly what they wanted.
Other than this, the living room, the garden, the dining area, the den and every single part of the house was designed to look unlike any other.
