Madonna News: Pop Icon Sues NYC Home for Barring Her Children from the Property While She’s Away

Pop icon Madonna has been in the news lately, mainly for not-so-good reasons. According to a recent report, the singer has filed a lawsuit against her NYC apartment which bars her children and staff from staying in the property while she's away.

Page Six was able to obtain a copy of the lawsuit. According to the report, the Upper West Side co-op, Harperley Hall, has come out with a new rule that prevents "anyone younger than 16 from living in her apartment without an adult older than 21 also present." Apparently, Madonna's NYC home "illegally changed" the original proprietary lease in April 2014.

According to People, Madonna stated in her lawsuit that such rule cannot be enforced since she travels extensively to promote her music. All of Madonna's children are under 21; only Loudres, who is already 19, is older than 16.

Meanwhile, in other news concerning Madonna's NYC apartment, Daily Mail reports that Madonna has parked a vehicle on the yellow lines she painted herself on her driveway to prevent drivers from blocking her $40 million property. According to the report, the Queen of Pop painted the yellow lines outside her NYC home because drivers keep on leaving their cars there, blocking her driveway.

Now a vehicle that's said to be part of Madonna's entourage has been photographed parked on the controversial yellow lines. It can be recalled that Madonna previously ranted about her driveway being blocked on Instagram, saying, "Yes Bishes I am Madonna and that is my driveway and if people park in front of it i cant [sic] drive in my driveway! So sorry the city doesn't like the color yellow! We will paint a nice dull grey to keep our neighbors happy! Sorry! Im saying 3 extra Hail Mary's this Easter for this transgression!"

Madonna even put No Parking signs and tow warnings in front of her driveway in the NYC home.
