'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Trailer, News & Plot: Story Spoilers Leaked; Movie is a 'Man of Steel' Sequel? [Rumors]

Fans have been treated to an early Christmas present as new details have come to light regarding the plot of upcoming blockbuster "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Badass Digest reports that Zack Snyder's superhero-filled film is going to be a follow up to the Superman flick. Additionally, the site reports that Chris Terrio's script will be addressing some of the major fan criticisms regarding "Man of Steel".

Beware! Spoilers Below

The website, who sourced its information from a draft by Terrio prepared a month before shooting began, claims that "Dawn of Justice" will respond to the "Superman doesn't kill" criticism.

"When Superman confronts a big bad guy and unravels his plot, he tells the villain, 'I won't snap your neck, I'm going to take you to prison,' an on-the-nose response to criticisms of the first movie," analyzed the publication.

Moreover, addressing another complaint on "Man of Steel", the BAD continued that in another scene, "when the Doomsday fight starts General Swanwick tells the military that Superman will move the battle away from populated areas because he's a hero, and that's what heroes do."

Other details picked up in the report indicate that the film will begin two years after the events of "Man of Steel" and goes on to deal directly with the fallout.

The Inquisitr, based on the script, shares that the film will begin with the Bruce Wayne/ Batman origin story and lead to the events of "Man of Steel."

BAD reports that "Dawn of Justice" characters Clark Kent, who still works at The Daily Planet, and Lois Lane are involved in a relationship and will be living together.

Kent, who would rather write about Batman, is sent on a project that has him covering the Metropolis/Gotham football game.

Lois, on the other hand, is assisted by Superman in a situation that takes place in the Middle East. This causes an international incident and countries, especially China, become suspicious of Superman and whether he's a tool of the United States.

The Digest goes on to say that the general plot would most likely be consistent given that the information was based on a draft one month away from production. There would be, however, modifications on dialogue along with plot scenes as production occurs.

For now, that's all that BAD has provided. Stay tuned for more.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be in theaters on May 6, 2016 and stars Amy Adams, Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck.

To date, no trailer has been released.
