It seems like FX's "American Crime Story: The People v. OJ Simpson" helped in the sale of the former Encino home of the Kardashians after it was sold for $1.3 million. According to Los Angeles Curbed, the property was originally owned by the reality star ancestor, Robert Kardashian Sr. It was also the place where OJ Simpson hid for a few days before the infamous Bronco chase. The property was originally listed for $1.85 million, but it was finally sold for $1.3 million.
The five-bedroom home was in the market for quite some time since its original listing back in September 2014. The residence that was originally built in 1957 appeared in the series, as unlike Simpson's old home that was demolished in 1998, it was still in pretty good shape. The property was last sold in 1997 and has been on and off the market since then.
It also has a total of five bathrooms and it sits on 0.41 acres of lot. Listing details reveal that the place has a lot of great features and can be remodeled to make it an entertainer's home. It may need some renovations and TLC, and the new homeowner was also asked to bring his/her contractor once it is sold.
The place became a part of the trial of the year as Kardashian welcomed his friend Simpson inside their home after learning that the police was looking for him. Simpson was the primary suspect in the deaths of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Later that afternoon, Kardashian read a suicide note left by Simpson after he left the house with his friend Al Cowlings. This then led to a low-speed chase down the 405 freeway. In the end, Simpson was acquitted for the murders because of lack of substantial evidence against him.
