Planning to design your living room but don't know how? Design expert Bunny Williams has shared living room ideas you can implement in your home. Here are some of them.
According to Architectural Digest, Interiors by AD100 designer Williams is mostly known for her designs which mix classic and contemporary pieces as well as colorful pieces and accessories from various parts of the world.
The first tip that the designer gave when designing a living room is to consider what the homeowners would need and actually use in the space. "It's the arrangement of things that indicates that I've planned the room for people and not a photo shoot. There will always be a table beside a chair for a drink, a book, or a bouquet. The overall furniture plan will be designed for the way people actually sit and talk," she shared.
In line with this, Williams said that it's also important to use furniture that have dual purposes or more. Today, you can find such items in various stores online. They're not only useful; they also allow you to save some space in the living room since you won't need to fit in a lot of furniture pieces. As an example, Williams cited an ottoman that doubles as an inset tray.
Meanwhile, on HGTV, designer Candice Olson has listed down her top 12 living rooms which you can take living room ideas from. The living rooms provide lived-in luxury and mixes "comfy furnishings with elegant textiles and color schemes."
