"Thor" actor Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky had recently scooped up another stylish property in Malibu for $3.5 million. The 4,612-square-foot pad was an upgrade from their previous home and the extra space was reportedly necessary because their kids loved to run around.
Hemsworth and Pataky decided on this specific spot because it had sweeping scenic views from all angles. The family could sit back with a bottle of wine from their 750-bottle refrigerated wine cellar to admire the views of the ocean, mountains and luscious greenery. The white-washed property boasted manicured lawns and was located in the smart Point Dume area.
The "In the Heart of the Sea" actor's four-bedroom and four-bath residence also boasts of a private theater, a family room, and authentic horse stables. The tall ceilings and sleek architectural feel also gave the space a contemporary, updated vibe. The home was immaculately designed and features high-quality details, including marble kitchen floors, floorboards across the property and vaulted ceilings. The home has an abundance of natural light flooding inside and the interiors, which were largely designed with a neutral colour scheme, according to a feature from Popsugar.
It was reported that Hemsworth and Pataky bought the property from fellow Australian actor Paul Hogan for a cool $4.8 million. The real estate agent who listed the property, Ryan Davis, had also previously worked with other members of the Hemsworth family. He said that he knew the actor and his brothers very well, and they were wonderful to work with. He helped Liam Hemsworth buy his house, also in Malibu.
