Celebrity Homes for Sale: Benji Madden Sold Nichols Canyon Home for $1.55M

After listing his bachelor pad, Benji Madden finally sold the property for $1.55 million. According to Zillow, Madden sold his former home to Australian drummer Chris Cester. It was reported that Madden decided to let go of his pad after relocating with wife Cameron Diaz in their new Beverly Hills estate.

It was reported that the property was originally listed for $1.495 million, and Madden purchased the single-story home in early 2013 for $1.125 million. According to the feature by Variety, the 2,183-square-foot has three bedrooms and three full bathrooms.

Although Madden kept the exterior of the home as is, he did some cosmetic improvements on the home's interiors like installing all-new oak floors, adding lights in the flat ceilings and removing some wallpapers. He also added a fresh coat of paint on the walls of the home.

The utilities of the home was also updated with new plumbing in the bathrooms and addition of slab marble counter tops and brass fixtures. He also replaced the outdated kitchen with an entirely new one with fitted custom-finished cabinetry and solid surface counter tops.

The kitchen is open on one side and combines with the living and dining rooms which feature massive picture windows overlooking the main entertainment terrace. There is also a separate spacious sky-lit den which has paneled vaulted ceiling and built-in storage cabinets. The exterior of the house is surrounded by retaining walls, red brick terraces, gravel patios and small decks that overlook a babbling brook.

Diaz, on the other hand, has also her own share of listed real estate properties like her Manhattan's Greenwich Village which is for sale for $4.25 million. She also owns a second and much larger apartment in Chelsea which was acquired for $9.52 million in 2013 after she hooked up with Madden. It was said that the couple's main residence is their Beverly Hills Post Office home which Diaz bought for $9.447 million in 2010.
