The former NASA astronaut who is best known as the commander of the Apollo 13 mission, Captain James Lovell, is selling his Texas lake house for $3.5 million. According to the Wall Street Journal, the captain and his wife bought the property in 1988 and designed and built the four-bedroom residence on site.
It features a double-height living room and a five-round stained glass window which depict the insignia from Apollo 13 and his other space missions. It was also the place where Lowell hosted actor Tom Hanks in 1995 when he was invited to stay for a long weekend while preparing for his role as the captain in the movie "Apollo 13."

The 88-year-old captain said that they won't be using the property anymore since their children are now adults and are located in different parts of the country.
