North Iceland Hotels: Luxury Hotel Deplar Now Open

The luxury hotel Deplar situated in North Iceland has opened its doors. The luxury real estate property is run by Eleven Experiences, and the hotel welcomed its first guests on Thursday.

According to Iceland Monitor, the North Iceland hotel is in Skagafjörður. It offers 12 rooms or apartments, numerous facilities and various fun activities.

Among the amenities that will spoil its guests are the luxury hotel's  spa, outdoor swimming pools, and saunas. Guests can also enjoy sumptuous food in the luxury restaurant and unwind with drinks in the bar. There are also two helicopter landing pads in the property and conference rooms for business travelers.

Those who are looking to maximize their stay in North Iceland can avail the hotel's various offered activities. These include heliskiing, salmon fishing, hiking, mountaineering, ice climbing, whale watching and biking.   

The site reports that a night at the luxury hotel costs a minimum of $1,750 per person. That price already includes "accommodation, food, an activities package, drinks, a guide, and flights to and from Akureyri." Guests who wish to have a personal photographer during their stay can also have one for an extra cost. Other activities such as helicopter trips, superjeep trips and river rafting are not included in the price.

Based on the pictures on the site, the luxury North Iceland hotel looks like a cozy cabin in the woods. It is set in the middle of the mountains, offering amazing scenic views. The luxury real estate property features a traditional Icelandic style.

According to Iceland Magazine, on its official website, the luxury hotel is described as "one of the most unique properties in the Eleven collection." It is home to Deplar farm which is located in a remote valley made up of tall mountains.
