Prince Dead: What Will Happen to His Paisley Park Fortress After His Death?

After the devastating news of the untimely death of the iconic artist Prince, many are wondering if some of his properties will be up for sale.

One of his famed properties is the Paisley Park compound in Minnesota. It was said that the infamous nine-acre complex is where the artist recorded nearly 30 albums.

According to Realtor, if the property will be up for sale, finding a buyer may be tough because many of the locals are more conservative and would opt for Midwestern-style homes. But the fact that it belonged to such a beloved icon, this might help to hasten the sale in case it is placed on the market. With that, many real estate agents believe that potential buyers would likely not be locals and someone who appreciates Prince's music and works.

According to Time, Prince kept his residence elsewhere, but the estate long served as his central location for where he conducts his work. The $10 million complex has a sound stage which has been used for his rock videos and commercials, and there are also recording studios that have state-of-the-art equipment.

Prince's office features stained glass doors and a wall. The private office also has three beds and oversized furniture including mirrors, chairs, desk and sofas.

There is also a large glass pyramid on top of the facility which glowed in purple when he was inside the building. Prince also has two other properties in the town of Chanhassen. He also has other properties across the country.

It was reported that the 57-year-old artist was found dead in an elevator in the complex. On Saturday, he was able to hold a concert at Paisley Park to show the world that he was still alive and kicking after a report surfaced that he passed away a day earlier. Speculations of a serious illness broke when he cancelled his show in Atlanta earlier this month because he was not feeling well.
