Celebrity Homes for Rent: Versace's Former Upper East Side Mansion Listed for $120K Per Month

The Upper East Side townhouse owned by the late fashion designer Gianni Versace is now available for rent for $120,000 a month. According to New York Curbed, Versace purchased the townhouse for $7.5 million in 1995. It was also reported that he renovated the place from top to bottom before he was murdered in his home in Miami in 1997. Over 10 years after his death, the property was sold for $30 million before it came back to the market.

Listing details reveal that it is one of the most beautiful houses in the streets of Manhattan and has a total of six floors and 14,000 square feet of area. It was reportedly designed with an Italian theme, and there are two large rooms on each floor and a rear balcony which runs the width of the house and overlooks the stunning garden. From the street, one can enter the large foyer which is designed with an elegant marble floor.

According to the Observer, the property also features both gas and wood burning fireplaces. There is also an animal print carpet on the large staircase in the marble foyer and gold embellished fireplaces and velvet canopy beds.

The living room's ceilings are also intricately designed just the way the late fashion designed left the place. There is also a bathroom with a sunken tub that is surrounded by mirrors.

Each room also has its distinct feature ranging from marble to mosaic with classic motifs, to Austrian parquet. One will also find ornate statuary, wall coverings, and a whole lot of gold.

For those who want to enjoy lavish and stylish lifestyle, the townhouse is available for rent, fully furnished, with its luxurious velvet and marble finishing.
