Celebrity Homes for Sale: Grateful Dead’s Phil Lesh Selling Marin County Mansion for $10.35M

After a few months of buying a nearby 16-acre property, Grateful Dead's Phil Lesh listed his California Mansion for $10.35 million. According to Realtor, the seven bedroom California retreat features cream walls, neutral wood floors and white box ceilings. The large windows also provide a lot of natural light making the home bright and sunny. It was reported that Lesh bought the property for $4.35 million in late October. It was the time that he also announced that he is battling bladder cancer.

The listing agent earlier said that the property has a lot of promise but it needs a lot of work as well. When Lesh bought the property it was said that the two structures on the property will require extensive renovations and it is the single largest developed property in the area. Listing details reveal that the 2.14 acre backyard is a stunning work of art as it is meticulously landscaped from the driveway to the tiered yards and gardens that are complete with a pergola. The large and luxurious master bedroom opens directly one a private deck with rock walled conversation nook. It also has an even more impressive master bathroom that features a glass shower, soaking tub and a lot of counter space.

The home that was originally built in 1906 has a total of seven bedrooms and it has totally updated since the purchase but it also retained a lot of its original design. It was said that every window offers complete privacy but also provides stunning park like views of the outdoor areas where there is also a swimming pool.

Lesh played the bass for the band since the group's formation in 1965. Although he was diagnosed with cancer, it is expected that he will make a full recovery soon since he has been recently playing with his friends as Phil Lesh & Friends in many gigs.
