Just after one week of being on the market, the late Ed Snider's Gramercy Park pad was finally sold for an undisclosed amount after being listed for $7.5 million. According to New York Curbed, the late Philadelphia Flyers owner's three-bedroom, three-bathroom pad did not have any takers when it was first listed on the market for $8.75 million in 2014. It reappeared on the market days after his death with less than the original asking price. Snider bought the property in 2011 for only $7 million.
Listing details reveal that the pad has a total space of 2,873 square feet and it also includes exclusive access to Gramercy Park and the services by The Gramercy Park Hotel. It features 12 feet floor to ceiling park facing windows and the great room and the master suite also has large windows giving the place a bright and sunny feel. The kitchen and the two other bedrooms feature east and north facing exposures. The accoutrements of the apartment also include the entrance gallery with Parisian wood paneling, waxed plaster walls. It also has high end light and sound system and a wood burning fireplace. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet that has electronic drawers.
The modern eat-in kitchen is designed with lacquered cabinets and top of the line appliances including wine refrigerators. All of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and there is also a beautiful powder room located inside the pad. The resident will also enjoy the amenities in the hotel including membership to its fitness center and room service provided by famed restaurateur Danny Meyer.
Snider has owned the Philadelphia Flyers since their inception 50 years ago. He was one of the most recognizable owners in the NHL and he died this year after battling cancer.
