2014 may have been the biggest year for Apple with the numerous gadgets releases. Following the success of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 in the latter half of the year, tech savvies are now anticipating what's in store for the MacBook Pro in 2015.
An updated MacBook Pro came out earlier this year but with only a few new features, much to the dismay of the tech giant fans.
Considering the big changes in their smaller mobile gadgets, some suspect that features only available on the iPhone and iPad may soon see itself on their popular laptop. And with the seamless syncing across all devices Apple has been going for, these kinds of rumors may not be farfetched at all.
GottaBeMobile predicts that the tech giant would finally add another security feature to their laptop, also known as the Touch ID. The feature, which uses a fingerprint sensor, has made the iPhone 5s very popular because of its easy way of use.
iPads launched this year also boasts of this security quirk. It would not be surprising to see if the 2015 MacBook Pro would finally have this as it adds another level of protection to the laptop. The Touch ID also makes it a lot easier for Apple users to buy apps in the iTunes store because of the one-scan feature that could be used instead of typing complicated passwords.
With a presumed finger scan, it's also highly possible that the company would come out with a thinner MacBook Pro. It may not be as thin as the Air but as the company last changed the Pro's body in 2012, two years may be a long time for them not to do anything about its hardware.
A thinner body may also mean additional USB port for those external gadgets. The MacBook Pro may switch to a Type-C standard post so it could be accommodated in the slimmer design.
Aside from this, the new MacBook Pro may also house more powerful and slimmer processors. As Intel has recently came out with the Broadwell Core M processors, Apple is seen to be one of those who would take advantage of the fact that it's designed for thin laptop hardware.
Intel's new processor is also created to utilize little power, as low as 4.5 watts. Since the new processor is designed to run at such low power, it may also mean longer battery life. And for those who have Apple products, battery life has always been a challenge.
But 2015 is still a few days to go and tech experts in the company may come up with something else totally different from this list. That means, everyone will just have to wait and see.
