With Disney hitting a jackpot in its animated film, "Frozen," many have wondered if a sequel is in the works. While the famous film company has yet to confirm, a parody of Academy Award-winning song, "Let It Go," has been doing the rounds in video website, YouTube and gathering many hits.
Huffington Post shared the video on their site and it has instantly been shared in social media by numerous fans. The short clip showed a fake Elsa (Beth Hoyt) recording the part of her famous song with an overly optimistic sound booth lady (Katina Corrao) encouraging her to fill in her lines for the recording.
The sound booth lady welcomed Elsa as she prepares for the recording of her new song for the "Frozen" sequel, hilariously called "Frozen 2: Dethawed." Elsa seemed taken by surprise as she was led to believe the title of the upcoming film is "Completely Numb." The sound booth lady explained that no title has been finalized yet and that what they are only after is just to have more ideas of "Frozen."
The parody continues with Elsa singing her first lines, explaining her reason in agreeing to have a sequel. She mentioned that she needed the cash to pay bills for her ice castle's maintenance. She also made it clear as she was singing that she could not care less for the sequel, describing it as "for sellouts."
She then lauded Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" and Belle from "Beauty and The Beast" for their "integrity" in having only one movie.
Her next lines described the true nature of her relationship with Anna, her sister. In the song, she described Anna only as a friend when they were kids and mocked her apparent penchant for creating a snowman, later stating that she does not really think well of her and is quite bitter she has a boyfriend.
When it came to the part where she had to sing "Let It Go," sound booth lady questioned Elsa on what she has let go off. Elsa seemed confused and said she had no idea. The Ice Queen then sang about letting go of letting it go, much to the delight of viewers.
As she finished her song, the sound booth lady asked the man recording the song to play it with the Disney filter resulting to a very flawless and child-friendly version. In the end, the video created by Barely Political showed Elsa's true desire was revealed and the laughter continues.
