Chicharito Hernandez Transfer News & Rumors: Where to After Manchester United?

Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez plays for Real Madrid on loan this summer with hopes to revive his waning career. But despite the deep optimism, the football star still falls short off the mark.

Hernandez has been playing far from his best as Latin Times reports, "Chicharito has just three goals in seven games and over 150 minutes of playing time. He's sliding further and further down the depth chart with the return of Jesse Rodriguez and manager Carlo Ancelotti isn't even playing Hernandez in the easy games that Los Blancos should win handily."

If Chicharito's lackluster performance carries on for the remainder of the season, it would most likely be that he will no longer return to Manchester United. It can be recalled that while playing for the Old Trafford, Hernandez was benched for years and just in the middle of the La Liga Season, is smacked by a similar situation. And Manchester United, perhaps, in response to his uninspiring performance with the team, decided to send him on a year loan to Real Madrid.

There are speculations that once Chicharito's contract with Manchester United expires, "More than likely he will return to Old Trafford next July or they will loan him out for another year at which point Hernadez would become a free agent free to sign with any team during the summer of 2016", says Latin Times. Hernandez' contract with Manchester is expected to expire at the end of this season.

Despite predictions that Chicharito will return to Old Trafford next season, this is also less likely to happen. According to Express, Hernandez looks forward to going back to the team; nevertheless, "reports in Spain claim that Van Gaal has no intention of bringing him back to Old Trafford." The decision might have cropped up from his poor showing at the La Liga.

Even though Chicharito played exceptionally well at some point in his career, his performance is generally erratic and can't even be classified as a little above average. This is enough reason for bigger clubs to sign him again.

And it seems like even he himself isn't sure about what will happen next to his career. In an article published by Latin Times, he says "I am not sure what will happen in the summer yet, but whatever happens I need guarantees. I am 26 now - in the summer I will be 27 - I must be at a club where I am going to be playing regularly."

But while his former teams showed bleak interest in signing him again, big clubs in Munich, Roma and Tottenham have manifested interest in the football star; although Real could be motivated to grab the 26-year-old athelete if he shows greater success at the Santiago Bernabeau.
