'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' Release Date, Cast & Trailer: Orlando Bloom Returns to Movie?

Several months ago, Disney announced that "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" is set for release in 2017. However, there was very little indication that one of its prime stars for the first three releases, Orlando Bloom, is coming back in the fifth. The latest speculations however suggest about a reboot on the movie series, and it could very well be a possible comback for Bloom who last played a role in the "Pirates of the Caribbean 3."

IGN cited a Press Association interview with Bloom, wherein he hinted about a potential reprising of his role: "There have certainly been some discussions about it and I am open to it." For the longest fans thought his stint on the film is over, it is only by now he confirms it is not done yet as he remembers his experience with the production and his co-cast: "That whole experience working with Johnny [Depp] and (director) Gore (Verbinski) was really amazing for me.

Although Bloom said everything is still under negotiation, there's a clear reason fans should expect his reappearance in the film: "I had a great time working with Johnny, one of the reasons I jumped at the opportunity was because Johnny was involved," Bloom added. So as long as Johnny remains in the cast, the high hopes may well be rewarded two years from now.

It seemed like Bloom had no expectations of returning to the film as "both he and Keira Knightley said that the third movie in the series would likely be their last. Will Turner turned into Davy Jones at the end of the third movie, so there wasn't much room left for Bloom to star in the fourth movie", Air Herald reports. But because IGN confirms about a soft reboot of the series, everyone should be all smiles by now.

The title of the newest addition to the series is "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" and is set for July 7, 2017 release, according to IGN.

But while the date is rather final, the story line isn't nearly done yet. "The plot isn't 100% set in stone yet. We do know that Javier Bardem will play the main villain in the movie, and that Johnny Depp will reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow for the last time. He has been the face of the series, which is why Disney is probably looking into a soft reboot", reveals Air Herald.

No official reports yet on the official casting but there will be some who will reprise their roles. Johnny Depp will re-enact Captain Jack Sparrow role, Javier Bardem will play Captain Brand, the new villain, and Brenton Thwaites will act as the British soldier who collaborates with Captain Jack Sparrow.

Variety also reveals that "Disney is looking to test a handful of actresses over the next week for the female lead of the action-adventure. Some of the actresses on the list include 'Miss Potter's' Lucy Boynton, 'Endless Love's' Gabriella Wilde, Jenna Thiam, 'Maze Runner's' Kaya Scodelario and Alexandra Dowling of 'The Musketeers.'"

Don't get too excited because there is no official trailer for the movie yet. Although it is still a long way off, Pirates of the Caribbean 5 will surely draw more and more attention in the coming months as negotiations on Bloom's return gets clearer. Until then, let's just wait for some good things to arrive.
