Anticipation for the next three "Star Wars" films are already building in spite of no concrete date for its release. However, it seems that fans of the George Lucas trilogy would have something more to look forward to as reports of additional spin-off movies have surfaced. Some even believe that Han Solo will have one dedicated to his adventures in a galaxy far, far away.
The idea to create three more "Star Wars" movie came to Walt Disney Company when the firm bought LucasFilms in 2012, said CinemaBlend. Aside from that, the company also decided to add more movies, which would be an offshoot of the upcoming three.
In April of this year, Marc Graser from Variety announced that CEO Bob Igor informed him of three spin-off films in the pipeline, instead of the reported two, which would be independent of the new trilogy.
Making Star Wars reported that according to insider information, the first spin-off would be about Han Solo. The site also mentioned the name of "Breaking Bad" actor, Aaron Paul to be somewhat involved in the movie. However, no mention was made on what capacity or role Paul would be taking part.
Apart from this, the fan site also revealed the possible code name for the movie's production, which is Luminac Industrial Goods. It went on to say that the timeline in the film would somewhat coincide with "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens."
While no one from Disney has confirmed this rumor, Cinema Blend took note of Iger's plan to come out with a spin-off movie in the years when no film from the main saga would be released. With this in mind, it's possible that Han Solo's adventures may just be true.
Lawrence Kasdan, who is also involved in the screenplay of "Star Wars VII" is reportedly in-charge of the two spin-offs planned by Disney. No reports have been made if he would also take part in the third offshoot.
While fans await for a confirmation of the spin-off, others have focused their energies in trying to obtain more information about the seventh episode. Cinema Blend, in a separate report, noted that the film, which is directed by J.J. Abrams would be set at 30 years after the "Battle of Endor" and would mention some events in the "Return of the Jedi."
The site also announced that "The Force Awakens" would center mainly on Luke, Han and Leia. The same actors who portrayed these characters in the original films would be back to reprise their roles.
